STEP 2: The Home Page
The homepage is a great place where you can see your tasks for the day, an overview of what is going on in the system, find quick links to recent churches and contacts that you may have been looking at.
At the top of this page you find the super powerful search function. This is available on every page and can be used to search for people, churches, courses and much more.
Below that you find the navigation bar. This is how you get around Salesforce. Hopefully the headings are self explanatory.
In the main window on the top left you will find tasks that have been assigned to you. These could be reminders to:
- follow up with churches or
- send an email
- connect with a donor or Alpha partner.
The calendar or the list of meetings can be used to view your and your colleagues meetings that they have coming up.
At the bottom of this page you find the utility bar. This can be found on every page. It is a series of quick links to recent churches / organisations, recent contacts and recent courses that you have looked at and the complete information on engagement level.
SEARCH
Search is one of the most powerful things you can do. You can find it at the top of every page. Before you add a new person to the database please search! Before you add a new church please search! Look at addresses, email addresses and mobile numbers as they can be unique to the person.
