Collecting a Story / Testimony

STEP 12: Collecting a Story / Testimony

It is great to have a repository of stories that you and the rest of your team have collected as you talk to churches. These can help you tell testimonies of things that have happened at other churches. Whether that be a leaders experience of running the course, a guests experience or the greater impact that it had on the church.
To view stories click on the stories tab. This will bring up all your recently viewed stories. To see all the stories available click on the down arrow next to Recently Viewed and select All. (You can always create new views to show specific story types – for details on how to do this see Step 9 above)
Exercise 10 – Creating a Story / Testimony
  1. Try to make the Story name descriptive, so that if someone is looking through it quickly they get a good sense of what the story is about.
  2. Related To: What course is this story related to?
  3. Church / Organisation: Which church or organisation did this story come from.
  4. Type of Organisation: Is it a small church, large church or outside of the church story. (We tend to find small churches like to hear other small church stories, large churches from large churches etc)
  5. Guest / Leader: Is it a guest story or a lead story?
  6. URL to video: If the story has been filmed and put on youtube or similar put the link here.
  7. Details of the story: Enter the details of the story here.
    1. You can insert pictures and html links in the story.
  8. Click Save when you have finished.
