Couple Survey Update (April 2021)

Dear Course Administrators,

Thank you for your patience over the last two weeks as we updated the Couple Survey. We’re pleased to share that IT IS READY!

What’s new?

Upon opening the Couple Survey, each participant will be prompted to create a password for their survey. If a participant does not complete the survey in one go (it is long!), they will be prompted to re-enter the password in order to access the survey again.

Once both participants complete the Couple Survey, an email will be automatically generated to the Support Couple including a link to view the Report.

Previously, Support Couples received the Report as an attachment via email. Now, the Support Couple will receive a link to access the survey on Marriage Builder, where they will create a username and password, and then have the ability to view the Full Report.

Before being able to view the Full Report, the Support Couple will be prompted to create an account on Marriage Builder. The Support Couple should use the same email address where the link was sent and set a password so either one of them could access the Report on Marriage Builder.

Course administrators should continue to send the survey questions and encourage couples to discuss the survey before meeting with their Support Couple.

What if a couple completed the survey before 17 March 2021?

For couples that lost access to their surveys or support couples who could not view the reports during the update, the data has now been repopulated and the Report can now be accessed by the Support Couple. The Course administrator should click “Send Report Link” from within Marriage Builder.

What if a couple started but did not complete the survey before 17 March 2021?

For couples that had partially complete surveys as of 17 March 2021, they will be prompted to create a password with their survey link. Once a password is created, they will be given the option to restart the survey or email hello@themarriagecourse.org who will then repopulate their data and send an email when this is complete. They can then finish the survey.

How should we update our churches or individuals on the course?

We’ve prepared wording that you can use in your emails to update couples. Please see below:

*For couples waiting to start the survey (first time accessing)

Dear [Insert Participant Name],

Thank you for signing up for The Pre-Marriage Course. You will be sent a link to the Pre-Marriage Course Couple Survey in a separate email. This Couple Survey will take around 20 to 30 minutes so please allow enough time to complete. The Couple Survey is password protected and you will be prompted when you first click the link to create a password in order to begin the survey. Please note, you are to take this survey individually without consulting your partner and if possible, before the course begins.

After you have completed the Couple Survey, your Survey report will be sent to a support couple assigned to you and your partner and they will contact you to arrange for a meet-up, usually after The Pre-Marriage Course. Your Couple Survey results will expire 60 days after the end of your course.

*For Support Couples

Dear [Support Couple],

Thank you for your patience during the Marriage Builder global website maintenance update. We’re pleased to inform you that the update is complete, and you may now access the Report.

The Report will no longer be emailed to you as an attachment. You will be required to access the results through The Marriage Builder website.

Step 1: Verify your account on Marriage Builder

You will be sent an email confirming you have been added as a Support Couple and a link to “Verify your account here.” Click that link and enter the same email account where you received your invitation to join and choose a strong passwordthat you can both remember.

Step 2: View the Report

Once you verify your account on Marriage Builder, your course administrator will send you an email when both participants have completed their Couple Survey. The email will contain a link “View the report here.” Log in with the credentials you created

Step 3: Review the Report

Review the Report in Marriage Builder and do not save this report to your computer. The Report should never be shared with the participants. To review the training for Support Couples, please visit: https://themarriagecourse.org/supportcouples
