3: Tidying up Alphas
Alphas are often not created in Salesforce if they are missing data that blocks them, such as missing Product, Organisation or User.
As such to clean up this data we have a few options in Tools -> Salesforce Sync -> Exporter -> 1 Resolve Alphas & Push To Salesforce:
- Your main concern is with the Orange data, as this has issues that is stopping the Alpha being created in Salesforce.
- The 'Status' field will outline the specific issue, such as 'Missing User'.
- Many of these issues should have been resolved when you fixed the Organisations and Users previously.
- To resolve the Alphas with issues you will need to go into that specific course, by clicking 'edit' that will appear beneath it's name.
- In that specific Alpha you can make any of the changes needed, such as connecting it to an Organisation or Product.
Please note if you do not know this data your best option might be to delete the course, as there is not enough data to reliably know the course is trustworthy and it will just pollute your Salesforce. - Once you have resolved (or removed) all these Alpha's go to tab '3 Push to Salesforce'.
- You will then be able to press 'Create Alpha' for all the courses.
- Congratulations, you should now have clean data in Salesforce!
