How to enable recommendation for post-Alpha survey
The recommendation feature enables NAO to curate playlists within the MyAlpha platform, facilitating the delivery of pertinent videos or articles to course administrators who have completed the post Alpha survey for prior Alpha courses. This empowers them to refine their skills, enhance training methodologies, and better prepare for future Alpha courses.
There are two primary prerequisites to be fulfilled prior to activating the Recommendation feature:
Create local articles/videos specifically designated for recommended playlists. These serve as the core content that NAO will recommend to course administrators based on their scores in the post Alpha survey.
Establish local playlists dedicated for recommendations, serving as containers for recommended articles/videos. These playlists are typically utilized to organize content into various thematic categories.
Once the prerequisites are in place, NAO can activate the Recommendation function within Wordpress. Following login, the administrator can navigate to the "Alphas" section, proceed to the "Post Alpha Survey" page, toggle 'Survey Recommendations' to enable the feature, and then save the changes.
The subsequent step involves assigning local recommendations (or playlists) to different score ranges established for custom questions in the post Alpha survey. On the same "Post Alpha Survey" page, clicking on 'Edit Customized Survey' initiates the process of adding or updating custom questions.
Within the Custom Questions section, select 'Add Custom Question' and input the relevant inquiries, answers, and corresponding values. An option to remove questions is available if necessary.
Upon completion of the custom questions, navigate to the Recommendations tab. Under each custom question, the administrator can click 'Add Recommendation' to input recommendation text, configure copies for each score range (e.g., 0+, 5+), and select the appropriate prepared local playlists dedicated for recommendations using the playlist icon.
Once all configurations are finalized, clicking 'Save Changes' preserves the settings. Subsequently, when course administrators complete the post Alpha survey, including the local custom questions, their scores are calculated, and preset recommendations are provided to them via the MyAlpha Dashboard.
