Creating Local Playlists

To create a local playlist you will first need to have uploaded your video content to the 'Articles / Videos' section, and tagged them appropriately.

  1. Go to 'Playlists' -> 'Local Playlists'.
  2. Click 'Add New'
  3. Fill in all the information for the Local Playlist;
    1. Title appropriately, no abbreviations.
    2. Provide the Excerpt/Blurb. This is what people will see beneath the playlist, so explain what the playlist is about.
    3. Set the Post Attribute number, based upon the Networked Playlist numbering*. This decides the order they appear on your Learning Centre
    4. Tick the 'tracked' box on the right.
    5. Drag and drop the 'Articles/Videos' you have already uploaded previously, please note the Playlist will follow this ordering.
    6. Add a feature image, which is how it will appear on the front of your site.
    7. Check the front end to see your Local Playlist

Ordering Playlists

The ordering of the playlists are controlled by 'Post Attributes'. The Networked playlist have the below 'Post Attributes', these cannot be changed. If creating your own Playlists you will want to work around these. The lower the number (i.e the greater minus number, such as -100) the closer it appears to the start.
I set 'Tips for Alpha in Other Contexts' to -50 to get it to appear at the start, for example.

  • 7 Best Practices -20
  • Alpha 101 -30
  • Creating the Experience -15
  • Evangelistically Positioned 0
  • Ministry on Alpha -10
  • Open Discussion 0
  • Prayer 0
  • Team Training 0
  • Time Away 0
