Creating the Trigger Events
Input a descriptive title for the Trigger event, such as Weekly Session emails for Youth Courses.
Choose the Target Trigger, such as Alpha Sessions. Select the Trigger Action 'Campaign Monitor Email' This will make the grid beneath appear.
Set the 'offset (days)'. As these are Alpha Session emails, we recommend setting these between -6 and -3, as this will send the email days before that session.
Select the appropriate options from the "Who is your Alpha for?" list. As we are making Youth emails, I would only select the 'Youth' option.
Choose which users will get these email, for most emails you'll only send to the Alpha Administrator. But you specify this based on the email content.
Please note: you'll want to make 'Send to Team Members' "yes", if this is going to more people than just the admin.
Finally input the email ID into the boxes. The simplest way to find this is by go into your Campaign Monitor and selecting the specific email you have already created. Then take long set of numbers and letters from the URL.
Then 'Publish'.
Please note: the Target Trigger can also be for Start or End date. The set up concept is all the same, but it is only one email.
