Getting Started: Configuring Welcome! and Terms and Conditions pages

myAlpha has two spaces where pages are stored/controlled. There are 'Network Pages' which you can make Local Customisations of (just like you can for Products.)

Network pages are the default pages you will have, which uses the network option for the languages you offer.
Customisations are Local versions that you can make without affecting other NAO sites. This is especially useful for English versions, as you may want to edit the home page without changing it for all English sites globally.

Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions page is vital for you to fill out. You need to make sure that we comply with local laws and also make sure you inform your users about the information we collect on them and what we do with it.

Here are some examples of the privacy documents that countries have created:

  1. https://run.alphacanada.org/terms-conditions
  2. https://run.alpha.org.in/terms-conditions

Please create something that complies with the laws of your country. To do this:

  1. Go to Translator View -> Pages.
  2. Create / Edit your Countries language (If you share your primary language, with another country, such as German, then one of you will need to create a Local Customisation instead - see Step 4.
  3. You can add the text here.
    1. Please note: If you need a GDPR signup message, such as on the UK site (https://run.alpha.org.uk/user/signup) you input that here too.
  4. To make a Local Customisation, go to the Admin View -> Pages and hover over the page and click 'customise'
  5. Choose the language to customise, and fill it out (as outlined in step 3)

Welcome!

You can edit the content of your Welcome! page. This is done the same as the Terms and Conditions page above in the 'Welcome Modal Tabs' section.

You can add your own Welcome! video, if you Vimeo account is linked. If you do not have a vimeo account, please send the Video to your Regional Digital Coordinator and we will host it for you.
